Location
The Sono Chicago is conveniently located at 1428 N. Cleveland Avenue in Chicago's Old Town neighborhood. A variety of restaurants are within walking distance, offering options to mingle with both tourists and locals alike. North Avenue beach, Chicago's most famous beach, is a close 20-minute walk, where you can soak up the sun, swim, play beach volleyball or participate in other water activities on Lake Michigan. Spas, boutiques, comedy clubs, parks, museums, sporting venues and more shopping than you can imagine are located in close proximity to The Sono, providing endless options for added relaxation and entertainment for your Chicago get away.
How to arrive
From 90/94, take the North Ave exit east a few miles to Cleveland and make a right on Cleveland. The Sono will be just over a block on your right side.
From Lake Shore Drive, take the North Ave/LaSalle exit. Follow LaSalle around until you hit North Ave. Make a right on North, then make a left on Cleveland.
Planes, trains and automobiles
Both Midway Airport (MDW) and Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) are within a 30 minute drive.
Amtrak arrives into Downtown Chicago via Ogilvie Transportation Center and Chicago Union Station.
The Brown line “L” (Chicago’s local commuter train system) are within walking distance and offer connections to all city attractions, venues, etc.
Cars are available to rent at the airport or within the neighborhood, but grabbing a cab or taking the “L” is the easiest way to commute.
